To optimize the health and playing performances of your putting greens, proper organic matter dilution in surface root zones is crucial. Reviewing research data and USGA Green Section recommendations for cool season putting greens, emphasis will be placed on cultivation and topdressing practices, specifically the “numbers”: surface area removal and sand volume calculations.
